Treat ED with Cialis

Cialis As Means Against ED

In the modern world more and more men suffer from violations of potency. Because of stressful situations, the need to work hard and the crises of interpersonal relationships, the frequency of erectile dysfunction in recent years is at a record high level. Fortunately, medicine doesn’t stand still, and today effective drugs are widely used for salvation of men from erectile dysfunction, which is often shortened to ED.

The most effective drugs to restore potency are inhibitors of the enzyme PDE-5. These are such well-known drugs as Cialis, Viagra, Levitra and their generics. Although Viagra is the most common medicine from this list, since about the middle of the 2000s specialists prefer treating ED with Cialis, which has a milder impact on the male body and has a therapeutic effect besides symptomatic. In particular, Cialis helps against prostate adenoma and can even prevent its onset.

Proper Way of Taking Cialis

In case when a man experiences potency problems, he should first of all visit an urologist. After a medical examination and elucidation of the cause of the disorder of potency, the doctor will prescribe you Cialis in the most suitable dosage. Most often the drug in the dosages of 5, 10 or 20 mg of Tadalafil (that is the main active ingredient of Cialis) is prescribed. In the case of erectile dysfunction caused by psychological factors, as a rule, several cases of taking the drug in 15 minutes or half an hour before sex are enough to restore normal sexual life. However, if you feel the necessity to increase confidence in yourself when you are tired, in a bad mood or nervous, you can continue taking the drug from time to time.

Cialis is manufactured in form of film-coated oval dark yellow pills. Swallow a whole pill and wash it down with some amount of water. If the doctor prescribed you to take Cialis daily, it is recommended to take the pill every day at the same time, at least approximately. Taking this medication in courses is usually prescribed in the case of severe erectile dysfunction caused by stagnation of blood in the pelvic organs.

The effect begins in about half an hour after you take the pill and remains preserved for about a day and a half. This doesn’t mean that all this time you will feel increased sexual desire or experience an unwanted erection – the active substance will make your penis erect only in case of direct sexual stimulation and (or) your own sexual desire. The drug is not an aphrodisiac, and there is no necessity for a healthy man to take it in order to see what will happen to his organism. Most probably, nothing or only some side effects.

Cialis can be taken with any food, including greasy. It will doesn’t affect speed of absorption of the active substance into the blood. As for alcohol, the med can be combined with it, but too much of drinks still can nullify the effect.

What Are The Possible Side Effects Of Cialis?

Talking about side effects, we should note that Cialis has got much less side effects than any other ED drugs. However, they still exist, and the patients should be aware of them.

Quite often, men feel after the intake of Tadalafil headache, pain in the muscles of the back and nasal congestion. While nasal congestion and back pain occur almost immediately after taking the drug, the headache appears late – about 10 hours after the intake, like a hangover. Among the less common side effects are redness of the eyes or facial skin, dizziness, digestive disorders. Rare side effects include nasal bleeding, chest pain, tachycardia and allergic reactions like skin rashes and swelling of the face.

Scientific and clinical researches have proven that Cialis doesn’t affect male reproductive function: it has got no undesirable influence on spermatogenesis, morphology of spermatozoa and their mobility. One of the studies showed a decrease in the amount of spermatozoa in the sperm, but this was justified by the higher frequency of ejaculations. Cialis doesn’t influence the level of testosterone and other hormones in the blood.

In elderly men (over 65 years of age), Tadalafil is slowly excreted from the body, and side effects are often more pronounced than in young men. As a rule, elderly men are prescribed Cialis in a dosage not exceeding 5 mg per day.

Contraindications of Cialis

Cialis is contraindicated in patients suffering from such cardiovascular diseases as stenocardia, especially when it is manifested during sex, significant cardiac insufficiency, serious arrhythmia, severe hypotension or hypertension – in general, in all cases when sexual activity is not recommended for a man.

Men who had priapism or have any anatomical deformations of the penis should use Cialis very carefully. If after taking the pill a man experiences an erection which doesn’t disappear for more than four hours, he should visit a doctor immediately. If this is not done, there may appear irreversible abnormalities in the penis resulting in loss of potency.

Interaction of Cialis with Other Drugs

Quite often there can be heard a question, can other medicines affect Cialis or not? The answer is that they can. Remember that it is strictly prohibited to take Cialis in a combination with nitrates-containing drugs, because Tadalafil increases the hypotensive effect of nitrates, and as a result of a sudden fall in arterial pressure a person can even die. Inhibitors of the enzymes CYP3A4, CYP3A4, 2C9, 2C1E and 2D6 increase the effect of Tadalafil. One of these inhibitors is an antifungal drug ketoconazole. Ritonavir and other HIV protease inhibitors, as well as erythromycin and intraconazole, enhance the activity of Cialis.

Receiving inducers CYP3A4 leads to a decrease in the concentration of the active substance of Cialis in plasma of blood. The intake of magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide together with Cialis results in decrease in the rate of absorption of Tadalafil into the blood.

Patients should not combine Cialis with the intake of other medications for improving potency.
